Oro y plata digitales
Bitcoin se usa más hoy en día como oro digital que como moneda corriente, pues nadie quiere gastarse algo que puede subir de valor. Monero también sube de valor en comparación con el euro y otras monedas fiduciarias, pero es más como la plata digital, porque tiene una tasa de emisión más alta que Bitcoin.
¿Bitcoin para Wall Street y Monero para mercados ilegales?
Debido a su privacidad Monero se usa bastante en comercios ilegales de la dark web, aunque también la utilizan muchos amantes de la tecnología que simplemente buscan privacidad. Existen numerosasempresas que aceptan Monero y sitios web donde gente común ofrece productos y servicios como XMRBazaar yMonero Market.
Bitcoin también goza de aceptación en todo tipo de comercios, pero muchos prefieren usar criptomonedas como Litecoin, Dash o Bitcoin Cash, ya que no requieren de tecnologías de segunda capa como la Lightning Network.
A pesar de las prohibiciones, el precio de Monero muestra resiliencia
En vez de ser olvidada, como ha pasado con monedas que fueron quitadas de plataformas centralizadas, Monero ha resistido sobre todo en plataformas descentralizadas. Las criptomonedas como Monero son incensurables y es difícil hacer que desaparezcan, por mucho que algunos países o personalidades influyentes intenten lo contrario. Siempre habrá un caso de uso para Monero.
