Here is “news” that actually is being lauded all over the US in far right circles and media. Case in point:

The first lawsuits against Trump Day One boast.

DOJ says Atty General of Arizona Kris Mayes (D) has “no standing” to be in Plaintiff lawsuit. DOJ says children “born of alien enemies in hostile occupation” don’t qualify for birthright citizenship. Since President Donald Trump says there’s an “invasion” at the border, that means the children of the “invaders” don’t qualify, according to the DOJ.

It’s already so so ugly. It will have no bottom to the ugliness and intentional ramp-up to civil war here. Language matters. Key words are chosen carefully. Headlines are often very political. Context tends to be less important because those phrases and trigger words are exactly so: triggers.

Might seem like small potatoes given that we're still dealing with a coup from an unelected billionaire, but we do what we can, right? This story from Nextgov caught my eye, because it points out that OPM didn't have the capability to send millions of emails to govt employees at the scale they did recently offering widespread buyouts.

"A lawsuit filed by unnamed federal employees in Washington, D.C. on Monday alleges that OPM violated the E-Government Act of 2002 by failing to conduct and publish required Privacy Impact Assessments before deploying the new email arrangement to collect the responses from government employees."

"Just days before President Donald Trump’s inauguration, OPM did not have the capability to send a mass email of that scale, according to a person familiar with the matter. To send mass emails, the agency had used govDelivery, a cloud communications service provided by public sector IT company Granicus, a different person familiar said."

"The govDelivery contract had restrictions on the volume of emails available to send without incurring added costs, and the agency would not have been able to reach 2.3 million people, the approximate number of all civilian federal employees, the second person added. Both people were granted anonymity to be candid about the sensitive nature of OPM’s email policies."

I had a look at the DNS records for opm.gov and I can't recall ever seeing a TXT record as verbose as this. It includes a large number of network blocks, and references the domain myemma.com as allowed to send email.

Myemma is an email marketing company, which in turn is run by a Nashville, TN company called Marigold.

Goodbye Youtube! - uncensored

This is going to be the last and only video I will ever upload to this [redacted] website. Can't say I love what Youtube has become--it's been nose-diving into a broken glass-filled dumpster that's on fire for years now, and the ever-more aggressive censorship of any creator who isn't a rightwing shill or people's-misery-exploiter like Mr Beast coupled with their increasing aggression towards ad-blawkers seems like they're just trying to drive off all non naytzeesh and een-shills to replace us with bots, which will NOT make them money, so I'm just so confused at the direction they've decided to go. My hope is that things will get bad enough that even the most hard (core) (ad)dicts will find it within themselves to leave these garbage mainstream social media platforms and use decentralized, non-corporate-owned ones like Mastodon and Peertube instead, but I'm not holding my breath. The Dead Internet Theory is already close to a complete takeover, and people are so numb to it that simply not using platforms like this (and Tiktok, and Instagram, and Facebook, and Tumblr, and Bluesky, and Twitch, and.....) is a bridge too far for them.

Anyway, it's been real!
