Yes, i am feeling a little sad. Yes, that does mean I’m rereading Emily Austin’s Everyone in this room will someday be dead.

Yes, i am sure that will help

All I can remember is this:
Yes. I like a drink, alcoholic of course, after two heavy sessions involving quantum mechanics.

Does anyone else know of a good self hosted ebook library server that can be used with native multi-platform reading app support and sync reading progress?

I really don't want to read books from a web app, I want to be able to read while offline whether on my iPhone, iPad or my Boox e-reader (Android)

I love the way BookFusion works, but I don't want to rely on their cloud storage (or any company's cloud storage for that matter)

OPDS is likely the best option to give you that flexibility.

I provide that with LIbreture too, but for self-hosting, Calibre + OPDS feed would be a great setup - like RSS for your books.

Calibre's OPDS also has one of the best organizations for books. Including avoiding 1000 item long lists by breaking them into smaller categories such as genres and then by letters.

There is also calibre-web which is slightly different and has a different interface. It doesn't really tie back to the original Calibre database, but it is prettier.

In 1986 (I think - could be off by a year or two) I visited an exhibition of Hungarian poster art in Budapest. It was arranged chronologically, with each year having its own little section. 1956 was simply skipped. At the time, it felt like arranging things this way was more protest than compliance.
