Você não vai achar dicas de turismo, noticias, fofocas, etc. Mas quem sabe você ache alguém que também goste de borboletas do afeganistão e tenha um blog sobre isso.

We run a Menstrual 🩸 Hut each dark moon as women's time/space, gender nonbinary all women inclusive.
This to us is a stupid, stupid biologically reductionist ruling based on anasex alone (Oyěwùmí) which fails to grasp the shared imaginary of woman and gender. Hunter-gatherers do it beautifully.

Washington's offer to Europe is a poisoned chalice. Europeans are expected to betray China, gut food safety laws for toxic US beef, and pray America doesn't knife them in the back with pharma tariffs mid-negotiation.
The EU still deludes itself that 90 days of tariff pauses mean goodwill, as if the US hasn't spent decades sabotaging allies. The reality is that when the dollar collapses, America will drain Europe's corpse first.

I am under a DDoS attack. Not my server, not my service. Me.
And like everything these days, it has to do with #AI.
This is going to be a thread because I'm annoyed and have much to say. It should be called something like "How I wasted a good part of the last 7 years having to react to a dubious technology instead of doing my job". Or perhaps "How a science disappeared". You can decide. /0

The image depicts a humorous floor plan labeled "Dream House." The layout shows a small section at the top with three labeled rooms: "BEDROOM," "KITCHEN," and "BATH." These rooms are connected by doors, with the bedroom highlighted in pink. Below these rooms, the majority of the floor plan is labeled "200 GEES," suggesting a large open space intended for geese. The overall design is a satirical take on a typical house layout, exaggerating the space for geese to the point of absurdity.

The image features a toy rabbit in the foreground, with a large airplane in the background. The rabbit is positioned on the tarmac, facing the camera, and appears to be looking at the airplane. The airplane is a commercial jet with a blue and yellow color scheme, and it is parked on the tarmac. The sky in the background is a gradient of orange and pink, suggesting either sunrise or sunset. The text overlay on the image reads, "i may be sensitive but you're mean and that's worse." The word "sensitive" is highlighted in a different color, drawing attention to it. The overall composition of the image combines elements of a toy, an airplane, and a natural sky, creating a juxtaposition of innocence and travel.

in reply to Aurelie Herbelot is moving • • •The DDoS attack started in 2018, though at the time, I didn't see it coming. I remember standing with colleagues in a hallway, at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences of the University of Trento. The conversation went like this:
- Have you seen that new overblown model that performs so well on the X and Y benchmarks?
- Well, given the size, they might as well use random projections, would probably work great.
- Haha! Yeah. Wanna grab a coffee?
The model was the Transformer. /1

in reply to Aurelie Herbelot is moving • • •In the last seven years, I have had to teach Transformers, reply to questions from over-enthusiastic students and concerned family members, write countless lines (publicly and privately) about the many issues associated with 'AI'. Hell, I even had to build the thing from scratch to illustrate its problems. I am on stage every month with a tiny Transformer which you can unpack, showing to an interested audience why the thing is all hot air.
Problem is: it is not my job. /3

So if you're *not* a linguist or an engineer, please do not let anybody divert you from your purpose. Do what you're good at. Bake bread, sell groceries, rescue injured owls, invent better solar panels, help keep our cities clean.
And don't think about the two-letter word. /9

in reply to Aurelie Herbelot is moving • • •I can relate. In the past ~4 years it’s been impossible to avoid the topic in Software Engineering as well.
I am here to explore ways to deliver software better, through collaboration, testing strategies, continuous integration, etc.
Lately it feels like all anyone wants to talk about is “How are you using AI to write code?”, I’m not. The mechanical act of typing was never the hard part.
