That when you follow right wing accounts on TikTok, you get right wing content in your feed is a “dog bites man” story.

Stories like this imply people have no agency and a 30-year old consuming right wing content has been manipulated by TikTok.

We should instead acknowledge and hold people accountable for their choices.

It feels like too many are comfortable with what they are being fed. Spam filters, ad blocks, etc are all ingrained in the every day lives of almost everyone now especially younger generations. So not curating a feed, even if it’s forcefully feed to one, most definitely feels like a lie the media wants to tell about gen z. You are so on the mark for the implication of no agency.

Personally I am pretty sure the NSA and maybe NSO is behind the virus and at the time it was the same old story

Infect half the internet in hopes it would end up on computers in nuclear refineries in Iran so it would mess with the feq of the centrifuges to make them unusable (very short story)

The US will do anything to "achieve its goals", I am convinced of that
