in reply to Hyde 📷 🖋 • • •Split: yes. I had really bad RSI. Moving to a ZSA Moonlander (pricy, but quite worth it if you don't want to spend time coding up QMK) solved the issue for me. Typing slower, but not terrible. An alternative worth considering is using an ergonomic layout instead, kmonad is quite good for that if you want to try it out without buying a new keeb.
DevOps is just a sysadmin embedded in the product team, way I see it. Am I missing something?

in reply to Phil • • •@phil I use #dvorak as my layout. I saw the moonlander, but also the Ergo they have, and I'm still not sure. The ergo looks smaller, and I think I prefer that one.
I do agree with the DevOps term. It's sysadmins, with a bit more programming, trying to live in a symbiotic team with devs 😅

I have small hands, and did find the Moonlander rather large, but with a little bit of layering it's quite nice.
The additional keys do come in handy, especially for more rarely used functions (screenshot, WM bindings, symbols, etc). Haven't had much RSI in over a year, though it does still flare up sometimes (particularly when writing a lot over a few days.)
That said, if I was getting a new keyboard, I'd go for the Charybdis with the embedded trackball. Always wanted one, but they're pricy.
