This is my third time in last 15 years I face issues with RSI. Do you have any tips on how to make the situation better and have less pain?
For the context: I'm on dvorak layout and have jis keyboard with heavy use of thumbs. 8 years ago I switched from evil to vanilla Emacs keybindings.
I also have a wanderer constraint at the moment: I have only one backpack for all my belongings.

in reply to sebsauvage • • •très bon tour d'horizon, le framablog raconte bien tous les aspects changement de nature vers de la nullité et du micro management pour beaucoup de métiers.
pour tout ce qui est long terme on a bien vu que la plupart des boîtes n'en ont rien à faire de produire des trucs absolument pas tenables avec du legacy de partout, avec une prolifération de code pire que junior ça ne va pas s'améliorer. surtout que les générateurs de code sont encore plus mauvais si le language ne fait pas partie de projets à source ouverte ou sont un peu trop niche comme le cobol, le lisp, le rust.

ça fait 2 jours que j'essaye tant bien que mal de produire des commandes "rclone rc" par plusieurs services IAs de référence,
et pas une seule semble capable de générer un truc fonctionnel. 😅
Alors je vois que 2 possibilités (même si l'un n'empêche pas totalement l'autre) :
- soit les IAs sont vraiment nulles
- soit rclone est un truc de sorcier !

in reply to sebsauvage • • •C’est une excellente liste (bravo à toi) de toutes les bonnes raisons de ne pas générer de code à l’aide d’IA / LLM, mais je crains que (vraiment) beaucoup de développeurs n’en aient cure et n’écoutent que leur techno béatitude pour l’employer le plus possible et dans toutes les situations.
Et, surtout, SURTOUT, ça n’empêchera pas les managers de pousser l’utilisation des LLMs jusqu’à l’absurde…
