#SunshineSadie and I are chilling on the front porch and listening to the soothing sound of water falling into a small pond.

It's fascinating and disheartening how even small changes in the weather have big impacts on my health. It's a few degrees warmer today with an increase in the dew point as well and I can feel all the energy draining out of my body and pain levels rise. No, it's not all in my head (me reminding myself)

Tomorrow we're heading back to the hotel for a few days for the air conditioning and will be back in this slice of heaven on Wednesday.

The video showcases a serene and well-maintained garden, featuring a small pond surrounded by lush greenery and colorful flowers. The pond is encircled by a stone border, with a small waterfall and a wooden bench nearby, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. The garden is enclosed by a wooden fence, and beyond it, a grassy field with trees and a distant house can be seen, suggesting a peaceful, suburban setting. A dog is visible in the background, walking along the fence, adding a touch of life to the scene. The garden is bathed in sunlight, highlighting the vibrant colors of the plants and the green grass. The video captures the essence of a calm and inviting outdoor space, with no significant changes or movements observed throughout the sequence, maintaining a consistent and peaceful ambiance.

The weather can have such a huge impact on us. Glad there is somewhere you can avoid it, even if does mean leaving paradise.

Fun! Thanks for describing how to do it. I delight in using Google Pixel phones with no AI. Sadly, I haven't detailed the steps.

If I need to get something cheaper than Pixel, your post looks great! Now to see what I can remember of how I fix my Pixels....

The death toll in the tragic flash floods that ravaged Texas Hill Country continues to rise, and the National Weather Service has taken some heat from officials who say the organization didn’t prepare them for the enormity of the storm. Meteorologists who talked to @WIRED paint a much different picture:

Facebook is not an emergency communication tool. If anyone is to blame here, it’s the county emergency management office that didn’t take more urgent action in warning and evacuating people near the river.

this is all very similar to what happened in Valencia Spain last October. I think the NWS acted faster than the Spanish met agency. But both were surprised by very strong and very local rain

If people think American scientists are somehow going to land in Europe, I've got news for you about the difference between millions and billions.

In Parliament Square today, there were numerous arrests of people holding placards in support of the proscribed organisation #PalestineAction. Amongst these people was 83-year-old Reverend Sue Parfitt

She is some sort of heroine, really.

They were arrested.
For holding placards.
Wow.
I don't think I've heard that one before.
And that tiny little old lady didn't look particularly dangerous to me.

Tomato plants: June 5th vs. July 5th. They’re all indeterminates, so I expected them to get big, but I would NOT have imagined that they would grow THAT much in just a month! 😳
