Many things can be wrong and bad at the same time. Pointing out one does not mean that the others don’t exist. You can’t fight all battles simultaneously.
In this instance the US is the main agitator and its backing is singularly responsible for the genocide. The entity would collapse in a fortnight if the US withdrew its support. It’s not unreasonable to call this out.
