I get weird things on my deck. A mass of these fashionable striped crawly bugs showed up suddenly, all clumped together. I came back in 15 minutes and they were ALL GONE. Not a trace, just poof, vanished.
They are Bark Lice (horrible name) or Tree Cattle (greatest name ever). They eat bits of fungi.
But the awesome part is that they travel in a pack. One may venture off but will soon rejoin the group. Then the pack marches off to a new destination.
Astronomers may have caught a still-forming #planet in action, carving out an intricate pattern in the gas and dust that surrounds its young host #star.
They observed a planetary disc with prominent spiral arms, finding clear signs of a planet nestled in its inner regions.
This is the first time astronomers have detected a planet candidate embedded inside a disc spiral.
