1. To watch them full screen, which is unavailable in the loops web app
2. To watch in a horizontal form on my PC monitor / projector
3. 10+ minutes long
4. Without looping
Don't get me wrong. I like loops as a platform, but it seems more designed for quick, small video morsels, where this seems like the beginning of a relaxing, leisurely stroll through the video park.
It may just be a case of the content not matching the platform.
One of my favorite videos is actually a 1 hour Peertube video of someone just walking silently through a national park. So relaxing to just leave no in the background...

I used to *love* Vine (6 seconds that looped forever), and assuming the fact that most people don’t have time (or patience) for long videos, especially when shared on microblogging platforms like Mastodon. 😁 Besides, I don’t have the equipment to make long videos (I would love to, even for work if I get an opportunity ;) For now, everything is done on iPhone.

in reply to Takako 🐀 • • •I totally get not being able to create longer videos etc. I don't make *any* videos despite once upon a time my background being in exactly that.
I guess I was saying more not to get disheartened if your videos don't rack up a ton of views where you posted them. It could well be more about where they were posted, than the videos themselves.
That said, that favorite video of mine that I mentioned was literally just someone holding up their camera in front of them while they went for a walk, with no editing pr anything, so making videos doesn't have to be complicated (although try telling that to my perfectionist brain!).
Anyway, regardless of anything else, I thought it was a relaxing and enjoyable video and hope you make more!

Not only are they adorable, but I also appreciate them as the underdog survivor with the larger grey/black squirrels often taking over their areas in North America. I grew up in an area without squirrels so they're all delightful to me, but the little red ones have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Also, I just realized, I don't think Loops federates yet. I don't seem to be able to subscribe to people on Loops like I can on Peertube... yet. Iirc though, @dansup was working on it. I'm sure Loops will grow much faster once it's integrated into the wider Fedi.
