All I can say is that it’s always good to invest in MSFT stock in April and cash out in August when they announce annual results. That tactics helped me profit quite well several times. The rest is just capitalism moderated by public relations. Nothing that should be too much of a surprise these days. These companies cut costs and hire back regularly refreshing required skillset. There is little mercy here. I felt victimized by it when that happened to me, but then cashed out tremendously on top notch skills that company had built in me in the first place.
Top tech is a forge of talents that continually create other companies on their way out. Unless they were brainless processors who just need another corporate gig, then they circulate around. Nothing to cry about.
