Last weekend I started self-hosting @ente as a privacy-friendly and E2E-encrypted alternative to iCloud Photos.
It was pretty easy to set up and is incredibly fast. The apps feel mature, and hosting the photos in an S3-compatible storage makes it cheap too.
So far I am super happy with it.
