This is why I'm hoping the company I work for does not fall for the AI hype. There's enough technical debt and pain in code review already, and having a plagiarism bot generating huge gobs of additional, sort-of-working code for someone senior to pore over will only make technical debt and review pain rapidly worse.
What's funny is that while a year ago the junior developers were all clamouring to use AI and bosses were saying "no way", now the situation has reversed.

Autism diagnosis is up because:
1) In 2013, people with #ADHD could now be diagnosed with #ASD, something that wasn't allowed previously.
2) Diagnostic criteria was expanded to allow for internal distress/difficulties, not just outer expression.
3) #AMAB individuals are significantly more likely to get an #ASD Dx, where as all genders experience the condition.
4) We have much better screening for the condition now days, vs the 1970s when it was blamed on Refrigerator Mothers.
Enhanced screening, detection, along with expanded criteria totally can explain this jump in numbers, much like left handed people existing. Furthermore, ASD/ADHD is, anecdotally, strongly genetic given almost my entire mother's side of the family is diagnosed or should be.
