Good Morning Tiny Dancers.
I've been out for a coffee and to get milk. Santa is out and about, he arrived in a CFA car which let off the sirens to announce he was there and 500 people went "OH SHIT.. oh it's Santa"

At the cafe, as Charlie made my coffee.
Me: "Facebook suggested you in my suggestions, which is odd as I don't' think we have any mutuals. You don't have any friends"
Everyone: "WOW"
Me: "ON FACEBOOK you don't have any friends ON FACEBOOK"
Charlie: "I'm using the off milk"

KIRO: Pineapple Express heading for Pacific Northwest next week as region reels from historic flooding

"...Another atmospheric river, rated AR-4, is expected to bring 5 to 10 more inches of rain to western Washington starting Monday...."

and keep in mind that western Washington regularly does quantities of rain that the rest of the nation would find extremely upsetting

@sarae
Yes, but it usually doesn't fall all at once. The rain is generally much more spread out, which is how Seattle got the reputation for being rainy all the time.

I can remember maybe five "serious" rainstorms during the 30 years I lived in the Seattle area. Most of the time it's just a steady drizzle or light rain.

Two major storms back-to-back is gonna strain the entire infrastructure - even the bits made for rain.

This government's shameful ban on prescribing puberty blockers for trans kids comes into effect on Friday the 19th of December

Block the Ban is organising a National Day of Action to protest the ban. I hope you can join me to tell this government to fuck off and leave our kids alone

This fucking guy

He's one for the ages

Ukrainians are angry at a tone in Western #media lately that #Ukraine is losing

#Disinfo from the usual #socialMedia #troll farms and #plutocrat influenced channels shilling a #narrative for a corrupt #agenda

So what does #Zelensky do?

He goes to the frontline in #Kupiansk and films himself there

While the #West repeats #Kremlin lies that #Russia controls it

😂

Zelensky is something else

Tough, crafty, true

In a world of dipshits

I think it ranges all over. There's amazingly run big servers. Then there's some servers, big ones, where pique prevails rather than professionalism

As well you shouldn't. But I'm a Scot. And by that I don't mean I have a right to say it. I mean all other Scots already hate me, so I've nothing to lose.

"Lousy Scots! They ruined Scotland!"

we did this to our parents but not just the TV. My brother and I have blocked a number of sites from being accessed on their home network. We took over their YouTube accounts and blocked right-wing media on their TV. They couldn't figure out, what happened, we pretended we couldn't figure it out either. And being boomers it quickly became too much of an inconvenience so they just stopped paying attention to it. The whole family is better for it

a. this should not be a job
b. this should absolutely 100% be MY job

MakerWorld right now feels like Netflix in 2012.

"Everything is free!"
"This will stay free!"
"We just need one paid tier."

Anyway, enjoy your ads between layer 37 and 38.

#3dprinting

in reply to muesli

I am new to 3D printing, but let me see if I have this straight:

1. Makerworld is like the app store, and bambu is like Apple.

2. Thingiverse is like GitHub.

3. There's this other website (EDIT: Cults3D?) where you have to pay for designs. I guess that would make it like the only fans of 3D printing?

what did makerworld do to alienate users this time?

When I was quite young I asked my dad why cats liked being stroked. And he said, “Because it feels nice.” But I think he missed my deeper question, which was about how we had arrived at a situation where cats liked to live in houses and be stroked and we liked having them in our homes and enjoyed petting them. It seems hugely unlikely that this would ever have come to pass. Yet here we are #cats #CatsOfMastodon #mastocats

We have whole home smoke detectors, but I added one to a large closet upstairs and in the garage. They are just the battery types, no hardwired. The one in the garage was going off. Deep inspection and can't find a reason. Checked everything, including heat from outlets and peeked in the attic. Changed the battery, tested, and reinstalled. I hate when this shit happens.

Surprise surprise the prepper has a smoke detector on every room, 2 monoxide detectors, 4 fire extinguishers (kitchen, main entry, upstairs hall, garage), and 2 fire ladders.

The kids who think it's fun to be cruel to others grow into adults who think it's fun to be cruel to others.

And they don't make friends—they make victims and accomplices.

"Boys will be boys" is what got us incels, school shooters, big tech, and the current state of politics.
