The "day" had started OK enough. I got a little more than 6 hours of sleep... Then, both my body and Bas thought it was a good time to get up. I got to the scale, disliked it a bit, and got dressed. After I had taken my meds, Bas and I headed out for a short walk. Bas was able to do his things and stretch his lottle paws a bit. After that, I got ready to head to the gym with Skoosh.

I had found a new (to me) setting in my Samsung Smart app, where I could use the TV as a "bark detector". While the TV is turned off, the app can use the microphone to check for barking dogs. As I knew that Bas was having trouble with being on his own, especially at my place since Arwen passed away, I had set up the bark detection. I wondered if it would work... But... As I was driving to the gym, my phone was buzzing like a maniac. Which meant two things: the detection was working, and Bas was barking wayyyy too much! I felt so bad about it!

When I got to the gym, I knew that I could never do "my usual things" and feel good about it, because if Bas was going to keep barking, it would drive some neighbors nuts for sure, especially as it was getting later. So I only rode the bike for a short while, and then I hurried to get back sooner rather than later. The smart app offered me an option to "stream relaxing music for pets" through the TV, so I tried that. But, that meant that the bark detection would not work anymore. But giving the state of things, I just had to try it...

When I got out of Skoosh, I didn't hear any barking. But maybe that was because Bas had spotted the car coming back to the parking. The TV was on, but, as I feared, there only was a "login screen" visibe. As I had never used the service, which apparently worked through YouTube, you needed to be logged in. So yeah, that was a bummer. When I checked the app, in the time that it had ran, it had counted a total of 217 barks. The app had run for about an hour, so that was just horrible...

I already wonder now what I need to do when Bas is with me when mum is getting her surgery in January. Guess that I can't go to the gym on those days, as I don't want him to make the whole neighborhood crazy. I greeted the little one, washed up, and then he and I went out for walkies. We walked a nice round, about 2,66km, according to my watch. We got back, and I made myself a nice breakfast. After that, I wrote my blog post for that morning. I tried to work a little more on my puzzle, which seems to be getting quite a bit harder... Which is challenging, but also dangerous, as I fear it will kill my motivation if I can't make enough progress.

Bas wanted another walk, so we went for a shorter one. After which, we went to the couch where I read my book some more. When it was time, I got my bag ready for physio. Bas and I took a short walk, and then we used Skoosh to get us to Nijmegen, Bas was glad to be back home again. Unfortunately, mum had to leave early, so I headed to Cuijk as well. But this meant that I was there too early too. I walked to Action to get a few little things. Then, I slowly made my way to the physio. They were able to switch me with the person who would be coming in before me, so that was very nice. 😊 And after a good session, I hobbled back home again.

I was rather tired, so I got myself some food, and with it, I retreated to the couch with my book. When the neighbor texted me that the big black 🖤 fluff was all ready to head out, I got ready too. We had a nice walk together. When I got back, I got ready to head to bed, as I was really tired after the two very busy days. It didn't take too long too long for me to fall asleep. When I woke up again, I had slept for another 6¼ hours. Not much, but my body told me it was time to get up and move... So, my "day" began...
