My tech writing students did their final presentations today on their xkcd-style Thing Explainers, one of which--on the seres/ecological communities of the Douglas Fir--was entirely hand drawn in crayon and led to a huge and happy digression for the students on the benefits of crayon over AutoCAD and various recipes for fir-tip soda. 🤓🌲🥤
