i wish i had nice things to say about the system76 laptops i've owned.

they were loud & noisy, hot, seemed to be white labeled from some cheap manufacturer, broke down a lot, and had a mushy rubber keyboard that was shoved awkwardly all the way to the left side.

fans have been begging them to design their own laptops (like framework does) long before framework existed. i hope they take this advice to heart eventually because they seem like they do a good job on the things they build themselves

Three US personnel killed in Islamic State attack on convoy in central Syria

Three US military personnel, including two army soldiers and a civilian interpreter, were killed on Saturday after a suspected Islamic State (IS) attacker targeted a joint American-Syrian convoy in central Syria, the US military said.

US Central Command said three additional US soldiers sustained injuries in the attack, which took place in the town of Palmyra. The command said a lone gunman opened fire while US troops were carrying out what it described as a โ€œkey leader engagementโ€.

IS did not immediately claim responsibility. However, a senior US official said early assessments point to the armed group as the likely perpetrator. The official added that the attack occurred in an area outside Syrian government control.

Still feeling a bit low but the sun was shining which always helps! Had a local bimble to blow the cobwebs away. Found my way to a lovely wooded valley that hides the remains of a medieval castle. I also waved at the sea.
