My son (22) has asked for classic novels for Christmas. As his mother and two sisters all have BAs in English, I suspect he's going to be buried in classics.
I'm thinking I'll get him a couple of science fiction classics, but it's hard to narrow it down. I've made a list: What would you add? What would you take away? Are there better books by these authors? (Is it weird to have living writers on a list of 'classics'?)

It will be soon, no doubt. Most of her fluff/down has gone. She stands on the ledge and watches the world just like Diamond, and with the same movements. She is no longer afraid of the edge of the ledge, altho she did nearly slip today - facing inwards, she stepped a step backwards that caught the edge of the ledge.
Not long now, falconistas.
Once she has fledged we are unlikely to see her in the box again - it takes some strong flying to get there. We may see her doing flight training with Gimbir and Diamond, from the camera on the tower. So special to have these moments with her as a juvie until she fledges.

Today, where I live, the sun will set at its most southerly point of 228° and will continue to do so until 30 December, when it begins to set a little further north with each passing day.

So when you buy groceries you scan the use by date, and then let it know where you are storing each item cupboard/fridge/freezer and the app alerts you when you need to use the item or it will go off, and recommends (non-ai) recipes based on what you have. Frozen items you let it know when you take out to defrost and it calculates the same. I’ve checked and it doesn’t exist with the function I’m imagining.
I thought of this because I am awful for letting stuff go bad before I use it 😂
