Thank you so much for sharing this! It's fascinating to me, both subjectively as someone who is drowning in All-Trump-All-The-Time - that voice, the scowl, the spew of hate and ignorance... and not being 'seen' or stopped?!!!

I think the last sentence reflects the resonant feelings & thoughts of most of us - every 'woke" (i.e., thinking, non-cult/ #media indoctrinated) #American - Americans are NOT #Trump 🙏 ☮️

It.is embarrassing to know that the world is seeing something strange & frightful - to most of us here, too. And it's impacting the whole world's assessment of "America". For Americans - many of us are traumatized &/or beaten into submission from the nonstop din of #disinformation, #evil, & the destruction of our history pre- #TrumpVirus. The strivings to be an exemplar of #democracy (even aspirationally), only to watch our White House & #Constitution have been bulldozed.

Turning from "down under" to "across the pond" - synchronously / coincidentally - I just happened to come across this similarly 'outside the forest' look in at America/Americans (not the same thing! And delighted to see the polls in AU reflect that!)

EV sales are up everywhere in the world — except North America. EV sales rose globally by 21%, but declined 1% in North America this year following Trump policy changes, tariffs, and the end of the EV tax credit. China leads with 11.6 million EVs sold. US automakers have been sounding alarm bells.

It's interesting, from the business/tech/automotive trends perspective, but also may reflect "America's mentality" under he-who-shall-not-be-named - but who is 24/7 in our #media and our nightmares, for years. Endless PTSD "Made in America".

And the biggest fans are... Israel (not surprising)... and ... Nigeria?!
Guessing there's a mineral deal or something we don't know about?

The biggest "negative" views here (now) seem a mix of "not surprising" (Canada, Mexico) but also maybe more a recent dynamic, in Sweden, and (long ambivalent) Türkiye. Anyway, this is "a snapshot" of "2025" attitudes. For context, I suppose it would be valuable to see a few years data, showing trend line (and any major events/factors). Still, anyway one slices it, those with long animosity aren't falling in love, those who just watched and didn't have strong opinions may be sliding in "approval" (from what is seen/experienced) and now it'll only be a matter of minutes until the Toddler King #TrumpVirus is out there boasting. "The whole world loves us (I mean me, of course), like never before. Everybody loves us!"

For us mere mortals born into a country that shaped lives through television, movies, inventions, and (once upon a time) global initiatives for good (health, education, peace, etc.), well.... All life is local but this is certainly not a pretty picture or any sign that "US Democracy" and values are held in high regard widely.
