I'm a bitwarden user. I like it. It's fine. It's secure.

I'm sure others have stronger opinions.

Bitwarden

- Works everywhere— integrates with your browsers via plugins, can even supply autofill and passkeys on phones
- Can do passkeys and TOTP
- Synchronizes between all devices over the Internet
- Can be self hosted, like mastodon
- Can be used to store secure notes
- Can technically be used to send files to other people securely, or so it claims, but that's the opposite of what I want a password manager to do so I don't use it

Buried beneath the rock and ice of the Himalayas, in one of the most remote places on earth, lies a sensational chapter of the Cold War, and it’s not over yet. nytimes.com/interactive/2025/1…

It's okay, Ben has now found it using a combination of satellite images and arcane rituals. We're going up for it after lunch.

what a sensationalist article. It's an RTG. The Soviets/Russians have lost (or just given up on tracking) a thousand of these. argonelectronics.com/blog/the-…

Yeah if the wrong people get their hands on it, it'll be ugly. But, uh, finding this one in the Himalayas? And the half-life of Pu-238 is 87 years… they lost this in the 60ies. Close to half of the Plutonium is gone.

More than 7 times as many people in their 20s agree with the statement “cheating is publicly accepted” vs people in their 50s byteseu.com/1625778/ #Japan #JapanNews #JapaneseCurrentEventsAndPolitics #JapanesePolitics #News

The thing you need to understand about the Right is that
they are absolutely fine just plain burning down higher education
if taking it over ideologically doesn’t work.

They’re perfectly happy reducing it to ashes.

A photograph depicts a large plume of dark gray smoke rising above a cityscape. The smoke appears to be emanating from a central point, with beams of blue light shining upwards from the base of the smoke cloud. Below the smoke, the rooftops of buildings are visible, with a dense arrangement of structures extending into the distance. The sky is overcast and a muted color, contributing to a somber atmosphere. The image is taken from a slightly elevated vantage point, providing a broad view of the scene.

The text "احمد عبد العال" is visible in the upper left corner of the image.
