I must be weird, am one of the apparently 0.02% for whom #Pluribus isn’t doing much, 6 episodes in (haven’t seen latest). I mean Rhea Seehorn is great but she’d be greater if they gave her a chance to be anything but angry-and-rude for even a minute here or there. Also, how about another character with a character? Will watch the last 3 shows despite massive suspension-of-disbelief failure, hoping for a change of course.

I like it, but I enjoy weird sci-fi. I'm really liking the new twist on alien invasion/zombie apocalypse. I'm watching episode 7 and there's a focus on a newish character but he's even surlier than Carol. In episode 1 I was yelling at them to not create an alien recipe, then to not take off her gloves. Come on people.

i try & watch all science fiction at least the 1st few episodes (but gave up on Foundation, Silo & a few others) since it is so rare even today. i like the twist on the alien invasion. & their Prime Directive not Prime Directive :-) Manousos & Carol are unlikable but relatable. Dale and I are going over each episode if you want to hear our 10 minute / episode "commentary not commentary". Check it out! SPOILER ALERT: we don't hold back we reveal lots;don't listen if you haven't watched.

Can't believe how I almost forgot to mention valentines day at all in my webnovel, then when i started writing, it turned into an insanely romantic treasure hunt with a special memory written on every card with an amazing secret present at the end, all when I didn't even have a plan going into it XD

Here are two commemorative coins side-by-side, both appearing to be made of a silver-toned metal with blue enamel detailing. The coin on the left has a central shield-shaped emblem with a stylized serpent coiled around a starburst. Below the serpent and starburst are the letters “uesp” in bold capital letters. Around the perimeter of the coin is the inscription "CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF UESP" above and "1995-2025" below.

The coin on the right features a central eight-pointed star with what appears to be a lion’s head at each point. The star is surrounded by blue enamel detailing. Around the coin's perimeter is the inscription "BE YOUR ARMOR." Both coins have a textured rim and appear to be highly detailed and possibly collectible.

Another wealthy Chinese executive,
Wang Huiwu,
hired U.S. models and others as egg donors
to have 10 girls,
with the aim of one day marrying them off to powerful men,
according to people close to the executive’s education company.

…“Elon Musk is becoming a role model now,” said Zhang.

An increasing number of “crazy rich” clients are commissioning dozens, or even hundreds, of U.S.-born babies
with the goal of
“forging an unstoppable family dynasty,” he said.

RE: turtleisland.social/@dillyd/11…

While admiring this beautiful photo by @dillyd I thought about the photography books by Adriel Heisey. His books features aerial photos he took while flying an ultralight over Southwestern desert. It makes me sad to think that these incredible works by aerial photographers are now largely replaced by drones. I know that just as AI can't emulate human emotions, drones can't replace the human exhilaration of the flying photographers.

I feel like I needed a “concept, yes, vocabulary, not so much” option. Maybe solipsistic of me but I think that’s a common combination that is commonly overlooked and creates a lot of polemic problems.
