I've been thinking about this for a day or two now, and I'm pulling my fiction ebooks off of Amazon. Not decided on my nonfic, but leaning towards pulling that too.

I'll leave the paperbacks up there for now, just because I don't have a good alternative, but will def be looking into one.

🍇 😎 🍷🔌 Solar energy protects German vineyards from climate change

As viticulture suffers from the effects of climate change, German researchers are experimenting with technology that fosters growth while also harvesting electricity.

Okay. Feeling a bit better. Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight without constantly having to rush to the toilet.

#Python in #OpenBSD 7.8-current has been bumped to #Python313 from 3.12.

If you run any applications via #pipx then you might find they are failing to launch and cannot be upgraded either because of the version bump. You need to reinstall them all:

$ pipx reinstall-all<br>

A concrete outdoor staircase is shown in the image, with a grassy area visible alongside it. The staircase has approximately six steps and is flanked by a concrete post on one side. There is a red circle drawn around an animal lying on the second step from the bottom. The animal appears to be long and slender, possibly a snake, with a tan and brown pattern. The background includes a brick wall and some greenery.

Well, once again Farmer's political myopia (naivety) has got them in trouble...

UK farmers mostly voted for Brexit & then found the withdrawal of support from the EU was not replaced and markets they expected to remain open, closed to them - they had been warned;

Now US farmers, the majority who voted for the Tangerine Tyrant are finding his tariff policies are wrecking their livelihoods.

Perhaps, a good move would be political classes at Agricultural colleges?

Trump is a sideshow on this. US farmers are trapped between a tiny number of seed oligarchs and a tiny number of buying oligarchs. They were already fucked and thought Trump might actually break up the monopolies and 'drain the swamp'. Even the bailout will all just go as debt payments to the big seed and farm goods purchasers
