Ethics of Digital King: Who Controls the Controllers?
The 21st century has given birth to what many call the “Digital King”—a metaphor for big tech corporations and digital platforms that dominate global information, finance, and social life. These digital kings aren’t monarchs of land, but of data, algorithms, and influence.

CLOVEN FOOT. To spy the cloven foot in any business; to discover some roguery or something bad in it: a saying that alludes to a piece of vulgar superstition, which is, that, let the Devil transform himself into what shape he will, he cannot hide his cloven foot

A selection from Francis Grose’s “Dictionary Of The Vulgar Tongue” (1785)

I hear that Kuenssberg this morning misrepresented the Peggie Judgement. Typical, biased, lying, BBC.

Alberta is twinning Hwy 3 between Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, a highway that slices through endangered prairie which is the last habitat for the majority of endangered wildlife in Canada. The govt is trying to exploit the gravel/aggregate deposits closest to Hwy 3, which means the permanent loss of endangered prairie habitat, which then means further declines in endangered wildlife as their breeding habitat is destroyed.

The revised aggregate regulations a another nail in the coffin for prairie biodiversity like Burrowing Owls, Greater Sage-grouse, Long-billed Curlews, Prairie Ratrlesnake, Bullsnale, Chestnut-collared Longspurs, etc etc.

Most of the old gravel pits were not properly reclaimed and are now weed sources for highly invasive crested wheatgrass and thistle, so those sites should be permitted to reopen if they also control the weed spread, but no new mines in native prairie should be permitted.

So much this. Even to this day, at 63 years old, men STILL trying to do this to me on the regular.
They are either trying to get with me with no effort, nor expressing interest bc showing any interest at all in me as a real person makes them feel like they are ‘giving me too much’ so they give nothing & neg & shit talk & slander me, try to humble me. Their insecurities make them need to crush my spirit, they can’t deal with my glow.

I LOVE how she ends this.

A wide, landscape photograph depicts a snow-covered field stretching towards a line of dark green coniferous trees and distant mountains. The foreground is primarily white snow, with a winding set of footprints visible leading into the trees. The trees create a horizon line, and behind them, two rounded mountains are silhouetted against a vibrant, pink and orange sunset sky. The sky transitions from a brighter orange near the horizon to a deeper pink higher up, with a hint of purple. The overall tone of the image is cold and serene, enhanced by the winter scenery and the soft, muted colors of the sky.

The depressing thing about “Release the Epstein files” is that they’re being released but it’s so cartoonishly evil and implicates so many powerful people that no one wants to talk about it.

Isn't that mainly because the powerful people now own (almost) all of the media channels that would once have reported on serious wrongdoing?

A small, rustic log cabin sits in a snowy landscape. The cabin is constructed of horizontally stacked, weathered logs and has a steeply pitched, snow-covered roof. A wooden door is centered on the front facade, flanked by two windows on either side. A small sign is mounted above the door, and a pile of firewood is stacked against the right side of the cabin. The surrounding ground is covered in a thick layer of snow, with a backdrop of trees visible in the distance.

The sign above the door reads "SUOMUNJÄRVI KAARNA".
