Just saw a video in which some dude was complaining that the archery in the scene in The Hobbit where Bard kills Smaug wasn’t realistic. In the movie about hobbits and dwarves and orcs and wizards and a dragon. The archery wasn’t realistic enough.
I'm in two minds about this. Like on the one hand yes, you do need to accept that watching fantasy require a certain suspension of disbelief. On the other hand if you have expertise in a specific area, and something happens that contradicts your understanding of reality in that area, it's as jarring as if a character just walked through a wall or something and really takes you out of the story.
