It's been very sad watching the way the Audubon Society has been mismanaged over the past few years. I know people who work in that organization and do great, important conservation work, but at the moment, I wouldn't give them a cent. Their union busting, and now their signing on to the Elon Musk legal tactic of challenging the entire existence of the NLRB, is unacceptable. This is a CEO and board problem, and it needs to cost them money.

Some reflections on the decline of dating apps.

Activist investors are circling Match, including the terror machines at Elliott Management. But 79 percent of women say they don’t want to use apps ever again. The shift away from dating apps is happening as Match is trying to squeeze more money from its users.

gog.com/game/shogun_showdown Acaba de salir este juego del early access. Muy buenas reseñas y está en GOG donde los juegos que compras son tuyos y además es más barato.

Me lo he pillado porque soy muy fan del genero, a ver que tal.

ok let's put it like this the EU "feels" US controlled X-D
it's roots are in a French plan to put coal + steel under joint venture (French controlled) state owned company (because coal + steel was important to make arms and tanks)
so yes it's largely a block with focus on economy... not so much democracy? X-D en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European…
all it did for it's citizens is abolish abhorrent roaming phone costs (Swiss still charges them because they are not EU) focusing only on economic issues is imho stupid and dumb as the whole thing then has no "soul" of "let's make the world better"

a lot of people still are sad about the loss of their local currency
all poorer East European countries had massive increase in wealth while STILL hating von der Leyen (from Germany)
yes economically Brexit was catastrophe X-D so have a really good plan after the revolution

Today is my birthday. I am one of those people who enjoys a little fussing over my birthday. I am going to work (I like my job).

Send me a picture of something you like (pet, nature, headline, gif, food, book, I am not particular)?

👏🏻BREAKING: In a win for voters, a #Pennsylvania appeals court rules Butler County must count provisional ballots from voters who inadvertently submitted mail-in ballots without an inner secrecy envelope — known as “naked ballots.” democracydocket.com/news-alert…
in reply to Laffy

Good on Pennsylvania for moving forward. Although, once again I'd like to give a shout out to Oregon's universal vote by mail elections - which should be a model for the entire US - where the security envelope is optional (and called out as such in the ballot instructions).
in reply to Laffy

@isotope239
We vote by mail here in WA and I have zero idea why it should be required to use a secrecy sleeve. If I don't care if someone sees my vote why does it matter. It's the stupidest reason possible

Tucker Carlson took bread from Russia, and in so many ways.

Few days ago I was talking with my Hardware geek friend. He was asking if I prefer a PC with two monitors and thus one workspace or 2 PCs with 2 monitors, mice and keyboards and thus two distinct workspaces. I said there is a third option if you are a Linux user: 1 PC, 2 video cards, 2 mice, 2 keyboard, and 2 monitors and 2 distinct workspaces but all having access to the same stuff. He was impressed and with laugh said I've made the situation (of choice) worse :D

The FloorBoard — a DIY Foot Operated PC Button Pad

A foot rest with a white top. Inset at the top side is a smaller black panel with three coloured buttons, namely a blue, yellow and red one.
The FloorBoard would be useful for people with limited use of their hands hence the inclusion in the Assistive Tech channel. For example, using the foot button for ‘Control’ means that just one finger is required for ‘Copy’ (Ctrl C). This avoids the necessity of using Sticky Keys (an accessibility feature in Windows designed to assist users who may have difficulty holding down multiple keys simultaneously).

It may even appeal to gamers where it could emulate foot controls such as car and aircraft pedals. Many games requite a forward and reverse action, and I must say I do find the WASD buttons a bit difficult to move quickly with in the heat of battle.

Why anti-fascist vigilantes are infiltrating far right white nationalist groups

New Yorker writer David Kirkpatrick says anti-fascists are using extra judicial methods to do what the FBI can't, by infiltrating white nationalist groups to expose them and planned attacks.

The FBI does that all the time? Just because they don't broadcast it...
