Browsing a reprint of a 1909 Sears, Roebuck & Company catalogue to continue last night's enjoyment.
And while it's too long for me to reference word to word right now, they did not only change the company name between 1897 and 1909, they also bought a damn RAILROAD TERMINAL just for their own wares.
Also, paraphrased: "We don't put our brand name on any of your parcels etc. because we respect that people don't want other people to know where you shop!" Times have changed.

10 years later, Apple Pay is amazing — and about to change
Apple made mobile payments easy and fast, as long as you did it Apple’s way. We’re about to see what happens when there are other ways.
Linux distro projects, what if you could... enable... someone's distro-hopping habit when they visit your booth at a conference? What if someone was interested in trying your distro and just needed an extra nudge to get them over the hurdle?
One of our contributors developed SyncStar for this purpose! With this tool you have an easy way for visitors to install an ISO right at your booth on their own USB.

Happy Distro-Hopping!

While this idea is pretty cool, I immediately think of the security risk of public USB ports.. Someone with a hak5 rubber ducky could wreck havoc on both the kiosk and the integrity of images flashed afterwards..
As long as the syncstar service is running on a device that doesn't have public access, and the USB flash drives aren't BYO, it should be fine.
“The indictment offers a glimpse into how much money significant conservative personalities can make. One unnamed Tenet contributor with 2.4 million YouTube followers on their own channel received $400,000 a month, plus a $100,000 signing bonus and performance incentives, just for making four videos a week for Tenet, according to the indictment.”

Musk doesn’t give a shit about free speech unless it’s speech he agrees with.
