The new Reeder app has built in support for Ice Cubes. It’s really nice!

#PPOD: Although Dione (near) and Enceladus (far) are composed of nearly the same materials, Enceladus has a considerably higher reflectivity than Dione. As a result, it appears brighter against the dark night sky. The image was taken in visible light with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on Sept. 8, 2015. I love this judge!

Judge Chutkan ruled now on Jack Smith DC trial Jan 6 on schedules

Trump team wanted delay to Autumn 2025, and wanted all requests done one-by-one

Chutkan ruled, no fucking way*, if you want to make frivolous filings, we do them simultaneously

* I may have paraphrased

‘No más' to Latinx! Spanish-speaking countries are rejecting the term – and for good reason.

Some Spanish-speakers would rather identify by nationality – say "Mexicano" or "Argentino" –instead of using umbrella terms like Hispanic or Latino. But the "x" can't be easily applied to nationalities.

Using "Latine" solves these issues and accomplishes what Latinx originally meant to and more. It's also much more easily pronounceable.

Operation Learn #PySpark, Phase 1: Run Spark and #Jupyterlab

is a success, after trying 3 different ways and reading 7-8 articles on it. Apparently learning "distributed computing" from one computer is a novel idea to most.

Now I'm poking around the pyspark api with a 45MB csv file from data.gov, manipulating #housing data from the #census

Soon. LUKS encrypted hibernate state. Also supporting suspend to hibernate as well. (The GNOME extension is just for a visual)
in reply to Matt (It's really me) Hartley

@kura @wook Correction. TPM is a stand alone thing for secure boot people. Not used with hibernate. Was multi tasking when I wrote this. Wanted to clarify.

LUKS with yubikey will be for no secure boot and with proper power off hibernate to disk.

swap file is a nope with btrfs on Fedora for hibernate, best to do a clean install and just run the installer I am building. Instructions will also be available for DIY, but it's a lot of work...script is automatic on new installations for Fedora. When I release it. :)

Ubuntu on ext4 is far easier and can play nicely with swap file vs swap partition.

Why is Android trying to hide these important buttons?

Mishaal Rahman has found that Android’s quick pulldown menu, where you toggle Wi-Fi or turn on the flashlight, might be harder to get to in a future release of the OS.

A single swipe down will apparently only show you notifications. It takes two fingers for the settings buttons — no other option. We saw something similar in a recent Samsung UI 7 leak.

Unfortunately, Space Marine 2 is demanding too much from the Steam Deck. Will it launch? Yes. Will it run well? No.

It appears "Murder in the Nudist Colony" is now real, rather than just an anthology of nudist fiction stories. ☹️

Interesting study of immune response in trans men as they undergo testosterone therapy gives a plausible explanation as to why Man Flu is real.
