Following another exciting Mercury flyby by the ESA/JAXA BepiColombo mission & a busy day at ESOC, analysing the images that came back, the ops & science teams have left their consoles for a well-deserved evening off at the beer garden in Darmstadt 👍

Much as I’d love to join them, I’m going to drive down the road to home in Heidelberg & toast them there 🍻

Flybys 5 & 6 in December & January, & back to ESOC on Sunday for the end of the Cluster mission 🙇‍♂️

‘No más' to Latinx! Spanish-speaking countries are rejecting the term – and for good reason.

Some Spanish-speakers would rather identify by nationality – say "Mexicano" or "Argentino" –instead of using umbrella terms like Hispanic or Latino. But the "x" can't be easily applied to nationalities.
⁠⁠
Using "Latine" solves these issues and accomplishes what Latinx originally meant to and more. It's also much more easily pronounceable.⁠
