OK I don't do a lot of polls, but I need to know from you daily #Linux desktop users out there:

I've been using Mint with Cinnamon for like 5-6 years as a primary OS but thinking about switching to Ubuntu Cinnamon. Been checking it out on a spare machine. It's similar but different. Mint is of course based on Ubuntu.

Would love to hear feedback about these 2 choices. Also before you suggest something else, I'm really set on one of these 2. I've tried lots of others. Thanks!

Huh. Did did two lts upgrades back to back just a few days ago.

One was disatrous because the updater program didn't revert changes properly when it encounters an error (e.g. snapd being disabled/system critical packages being dependant on packages updated by PPAs, like kisak's).

The other was perfect smooth sailing.

Does anyone have the link to the launchpad issue mentioned?

X’s head of global affairs, Nick Pickles, announced he’s leaving the company after a 10-year run. Pickles recently became X CEO Linda Yaccarino’s right-hand man and was one of the few remaining senior leaders from Twitter’s pre-Musk era. His departure comes right after Brazil banned X due to its refusal to block certain accounts and designate a legal representative in the country.

@DBG3D No. Macron didn't back down for the retirement law despite massive protests with unions making huge efforts to mobilize as many people as they could, he won't back down with La France Insoumise making edgy speeches to mobilize their three activists (and accusing unions not to be with them and not doing the heavy lifting they can't make themselves).
