An American citizen of Turkish origin has been shot dead by Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, died of her wounds after participating in a protest against illegal Israeli settlement expansion in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
The Israeli army said it was looking into the report.
There has been no immediate comment from the US embassy.
