The US on Friday said it is gathering more information about the circumstances of the "tragic death" of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi in the occupied West Bank.
"We are aware of the tragic death of an American citizen, Aysenur Eygi, today in the West Bank. We offer our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told Anadolu in an emailed statement.

Hezbollah carried out several attacks against Israeli sites on 6 September, as Israel targeted the south of Lebanon with "illegal white phosphorus" shells.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), Israel targeted southern Lebanon with white phosphorus on Friday. “The area between Tal Nahas and Al-Hamams [..] is being subjected to artillery shelling with phosphorus shells, which caused fires to break out,” NNA said.

At least 18 Palestinians, including four children, were killed in airstrikes by Israeli warplanes targeting the central Gaza Strip with one of the strikes hitting tents set up for displaced persons in what the Israeli military claims is a "humanitarian safe zone.”

There's a bit too much variability in the year-to-year sea ice extent for the 2020s average to be very helpful without a few more years of points. The line so far will likely be close to the 2010s mean or actually slightly above it.
