I know it’s a little early but since I can’t access Stripe anymore this makes me a little worried 😟

In about 13 days new bills are coming in for our servers, media storage and email. Also Mastodon.coffee has to be renewed soon

This includes all fedi services hosted by me (status.mstdn.social)

If you can, please consider helping me out with these bills♥️

That's an intuitive viewpoint for people that have more debt than assets. Also generally favorable for locally produced goods vs imports.

It’s been weapon grade strong for a while now. Great for Americans traveling to other countries, especially Japan with a weak Yen. A weakening Dollar makes things more even. We’re returning to normalcy. 💵

Kevin had heard that the people coming would be Haitian migrants who were living in Terminal E at Logan International Airport, about 30 miles northeast in Boston. They had arrived among record numbers of people crossing the U.S. border since 2022 and had been placed on a wait list to enter the state’s overcrowded shelter system. In Massachusetts, caseloads of families seeking shelter had more than doubled since the year before, and now there were more people waiting at Logan Airport every day and no room for them all. The state had opened new shelters in towns across Massachusetts, but none so big in a town so small as the one planned for Norfolk, population 11,000.
By the fall, Kevin had heard, as many as 405 people could be living at the prison.

Apollo 15: In the Mountains of the Moon (1971) (NASA documentary about first extended stay moon mission)

NASA documentary about Apollo 15, the first Apollo mission to spend three days on the surface of the Moon, allowing for a much wider range of experiments and tasks. It was also the first use of the car-like lunar rover / moon buggy, which meant the astronauts could explore much further away from the landing site.

Documentary written & produced by Don Wiseman
More info about the mission itself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_15

This is the mission which includes the famous "feather and hammer" experiment, which you can see at timestamp 21:01. The astronauts also placed a small memorial to fallen space explorers which is discussed at 25:50.

House Republicans attach a poison pill to their stop gap funding bill.

"Can you imagine the hoops the Republicans can make our poor, middle class and seniors jump through for them to vote if this passes!"
- Aure

The funding measure includes a GOP proposal to require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections — a measure that former President Donald Trump insisted on but is a non-starter for Senate Democrats.

@copter_chief
Since every projection is a confession: I wonder how many foreign operatives are being paid to vote Republican in elections.

Oh, wait.

Now, I see it.

There have been so many senior #Republican endorsements of #KamalaHarris that I went looking for a list. Wikipedia is organizing the abundance into three lists:

1. List of former Trump administration officials who endorsed Kamala Harris
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_…

2. List of former Trump administration officials who endorsed Joe Biden
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_…

3. List of Republicans who oppose the Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign

these are great. There are also 2020 and 2016 lists of Trump opposition from Republicans. Curious how the composition has changed if anyone has done such analysis.

ULTRA TRIVIA: I can't help but notice Mediawiki oddity I'm curious about en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category… wonder why 2024 (your 3rd link) is placed under L, 2020 under R, 2016 under T when all use the same naming convention!
