2. Create a PR on GitHub
3. Leave it rotting there for 3 months
4. Take a look at it again, after having completely forgotten what the code does and how it works

A New York Times story today says: Telegram has become a global sewer of criminal activity, disinformation, child sexual abuse material, terrorism and racist incitement, according to a four-month investigation by The New York Times that analyzed more than 3.2 million Telegram messages from over 16,000 channels. The company, which offers features that enable criminals, terrorists and grifters to organize at scale and to sidestep scrutiny from the authorities, has looked the other way as illegal and extremist activities have flourished openly on the app. The degree to which Telegram has been inundated by such content has not been previously reported. The Times investigation found 1,500 channels operated by white supremacists who coordinate activities among almost one million people around the world. At least two dozen channels sold weapons. In at least 22 channels with more than 70,000 followers, MDMA, cocaine, heroin and other drugs were advertised for delivery to more than 20 countries.

Golden Feathered Friend

This bird landed atop an oak tree at the edge of the forest overlooking my backyard while Charlie and I were sitting outside this morning. It was way off and initially, without looking at the photos I thought "thrasher." However, after looking at the photos I thought it was a pine warbler (Setophaga pinus). I noticed though that it lacks the distinctive eye ring. So, I settled on juvenile Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula). What do you think?

I use Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Labs, and love it! It’s been very accurate in both photo and sounds identifications.

I use Merlin as well, I find that it’s not always accurate. But, it the case Merlin identified the bird as an oriole.

In honor of the September 8th anniversary of the original Star Trek series premiere, Paramount Plus has assembled a free-to-watch YouTube playlist of the first episodes (including two-parters like “Encounter at Farpoint”) of most of the franchise’s series, along with a handful of shorts. They’re free from September 7th – 13th.

Si vous ne savez pas quoi faire, j'ai commencé à faire une petite liste de challenges à accomplir. Je complèterai sans doute par la suite avec d'autres idées.

Un intérieur de maison en bois, avec un sol carrelé rouge qui laisse refléter la lumière des lanternes accrochées au plafond. À droite une cheminée, à gauche un lit, au milieu un ensemble de coffres et d'atelier. Le plafond en verre laisse apparaître le toit végétalisé.
Des champs de blé bien aligné au milieu desquels cours un ruisseau. Des lanternes accrochées à des lampadaire éclairent la nuit. Au premier plan, un coffre.
Une carverne, très haute de plafond, semble s'étendre sur une distance si grand qu'on en voit pas le bout. Au fond, dans la pénombre, on distingue de colossales colonnes.
Une gigantesque grotte, parsemée de petite sources de lumière, laisse apparaître d'énorme stalagtites, stalagmites et un surplomb vertigineux.

Avec tout ce qu'ils ont ajouté, c'est sans doute un peu too much (nan mais le dépôt dimensionnel 😱 )
