Opened the MSX2 to snip away the battery, and to inspect the horrible noise it made while moving it. I was suspecting loose screws.
Super happy the battery has not leaked. It looks new.
As for the noise... The machine innards are FILLED with these little yellow caps, with a white substance inside.
I have a very faint memory of things like these being capsules for toy revolvers, that made a gunshot noise when fired, but obviously shot nothing. I wonder if I'm right.

Your strip about bagpipes being more annoying than a leaf blower is my absolute favorite. My son played bagpipes in high school and the first year was Very painful The good news he became quite good and we all lived to tell the tale. That strip is framed and hangs proudly in my home.
