Good morning. 🌳☁️🌨️
15 September 2024
I'm up before five this morning because I heard Ben bark and decided not to ignore it. just in case. Apparently, there was some critter in the backyard that required their attention. By their, I mean Ben and Charlie. It was probably a racoon. I sat outside and watched them for a few minutes. I intended to lay back in my recliner and go back to sleep, but after moving around I was a little more awake than when initially woke, even if I still have some foggy head going on. But there is hot coffee which I make almost automatically when I get up. Also, the recliner is still there and isn't off the table. The dogs are quiet. I think they are both sleeping again.

7 non-SSD devices you may be able to use in your M.2 slot
The M.2 connector, formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) was created to replace the older mSATA and mPCIe connectors, which it successfully did. You might be familiar with the M.2 slots on your PC’s motherboard that are commonly used to connect M.2 SSDs (NVMe or SATA), but they’re not the only devices compatible with M.2.
The M.2 connector was meant to be flexible to accommodate a wide variety of devices. So, if you have a spare M.2 slot gathering dust on your motherboard, you might want to know the types of devices you could install on it.
What I really wonder about, is I’m pretty sure my M.2 connector said something about it being in combination with some existing SATA ports i.e. if I use the M.2 connector I lose 2 or 4 of my SATA ports. Just something to keep in mind if you have already maxed out the use of your SATA ports.

Following on from my interaction earlier today, I am asking #Linux bros to be careful of developing a superiority complex.
It is great you are using linux. I am happy for you. But this doesn't make you better than everyone else. Engaging in toxic behavour isn't helpful to anyone, and it really just makes you look like an asshole.
State bans on commercial food waste have been largely ineffective, study finds
Much of the food supply in the U.S. goes uneaten, which contributes to climate change. Some states have tried to cut food waste in landfills, but their efforts have fallen short, researchers found.

I know you'll think I'm completely crazy, but... I bought the Pixel 9 again... I just like the new design too much, the fingerprint sensor is much faster than the old one, the battery life of the small Pixel 9 is noticeably longer than the larger Pixel 8 Pro... and I love the “Wintergeen” color...

Amazing project! I'm not usually interested in the use of AI to make images, but I have to admit that this is a perfect application for it. So cool, what they achieved.

I haven't actually seen, the racoon, that I think is around at night, or early in the morning. But my dogs get agitated, and I find my bird feeders on the ground and/or broken.

I have very little doubt about it being a raccoon, though opossum is a possibility as well. Both species are present in this area. I’ve actually seen raccoons in my yard in the past but never a opossum.

They are clever critters. Once a hummingbird feeder went missing, I’d given up looking for it until one day I happened to look up in an oak tree in the backyard and there it was.
