Trump was uninjured after shots were fired *near* his golf course in FL on Sunday, the Trump campaign said in a stmnt. The person responsible for the shooting has not been identified. It was not immediately clear whether Trump was a target of the gunfire. The incident happened around 2PM, the #SecretService said. “The former president is safe. We will have more details soon,” the agency said.

Strange how under American laws anyone can have a gun, and do a bunch of shooting, and all that’s offered to children & their parents is ‘thoughts and prayers’ but someone shoots off gunfire within a ten mile radius of #FeloniousTrump and it’s arrests, assassination attempted, and major headlines worldwide. One almost wonders if these are set-up to keep him in the headlines. We never did hear much about the background of the one who winged his ear…..

I upgraded #GNOME #Calls to #gtk4 + #libadwaita for fun. It's now released in v47.0! Should be available soon in your #LinuxMobile distribution of choice 🚀

Massive thanks to @devrtz, @agx, @brainblasted, and Maximiliano for putting up with my beginner-level GTK skills!

The "About" screen for version 47.0 of the GNOME Calls app, running on postmarketOS on a OnePlus 6. It's an `AdwAboutDialog` which is one of the fancy responsive UI features you can only use on GTK4 apps with libadwaita.
The "What's New" screen for the GNOME Calls app. "Version 47.0: This is the first stable release of the GTK4 version." The first changelog entry is "The big one: The port to GTK4 and libadwaita! Thanks to Anton Lazarev for code and Chris, Maximiliano and Guido for reviews!"

Novel writing update. I'm 42,000 words in and writing the mid-story heist. Still having fun doing it.

I have my Linux laptop setup with a KVM, so I can use my regular desk setup which is much more ergo friendly than a laptop, but still nice to be able to work while out and about. I'm loving Debian 12. Maybe once I get everything dialed in, I'll post about it on my site for posterity (i.e. so I can set things up again when I inevitably distro hop).

My kid is looking to move on from D&D to something more narrative with their friends. I suggested they look into Fate and a Powered by the Apocalypse variant as options. They want to stick with a fantasy campaign they have going, but want more story telling and less stat tracking.

Are there other good #TTRPG options to investigate?
