Having had so many laptops with absolutely terrible battery life, I keep forgetting that my ThinkPad has amazing battery life, so I'm always looking to plug it in and didn't even notice that it hadn't even been charging this whole time and I still have an estimated over 4 hours of charge on my decently bright screen setting while I've been sitting here futzing around between containers, the web browser, and various python testing.

I recently tried running NVidia's new -GNU- MIT/GPL drivers that come bundled with their proprietary drivers and I was really impressed for about 3 weeks. Things were going great. My desktop was stable, gaming was great, but then out of no where the drivers started crashing during gaming and I was forced to switch back to the proprietary drivers. I will say I'm very impressed with now well the open source ones worked and I will give them another try in the near future.
