I would say most Canadian voters want to keep Liberal partyโs policies without having to keep the Liberal party in power. If they could attain the reassuringly democratic experience of cycling two or three parties through government, assured that they would all enact flavors of moderate progressive legislation, they would.
This is particularly true of millennials as this is the lie we believe from our juvenile memories of the Trudeau/Clark/Mulroney/Chrรฉtien years.
