Israel bars UN chief from the country over Iran attack response

Israel’s foreign minister has declared United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “persona non grata” and barred him from entering the country.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on Wednesday accused Guterres of failing to “unequivocally” condemn Iran’s missile attack on Israel. Israel has persistently complained over the UN’s approach throughout its yearlong war in Gaza.

The Voyager spacecraft has been speeding through space for decades, powered by decaying chunks of plutonium that produce less and less heat every year. With less electricity available, NASA has decided to shut down the plasma experiment on Voyager 2, which measures the quantity and direction of ionized particles passing the spacecraft. It still has enough electricity to support four instruments but will likely be down to one by the 2030s.
