A video has been posted online that allegedly shows the explosion of a Russian powerful bomb in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region.

Some military experts write that this is the first use of the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb, which is called the “Kuzkin's father” and “father of all bombs” and is considered the most powerful non-nuclear munition in the world - the equivalent of 44,000 kg of TNT.

However, others claim that it is a thermobaric bomb, the ODAB-1500.

Fun new crypto whoopsie just dropped!

Crypto businesses keep accidentally hiring IT workers from North Korea. This is a problem because it is, first of all, against US law but second, “CoinDesk encountered multiple examples of companies hiring DPRK IT workers and subsequently getting hacked.”

I wanted to share with you a beautiful poem by Ukrainian poet Kateryna Mikhalitsyna, translated into English by Hanna Leliv and read by Stephen Fry.

This poem describes the feelings of Ukrainians so well.

Wolfgang Ischinger, former chairman of the Munich Security Conference, believes that limiting the range of Ukrainian strikes on Russia is a wrong approach. Ukraine should be allowed to strike military targets in Russia.

Paul Vierkant reshared this.

in reply to Patrick Breyer

🇬🇧Thanks to tireless digital freedom fighters in science, NGOs and politics, #ChatControl had to be removed from today's agenda again because there was no qualified majority in sight! 🥂🥳 netzpolitik.org/2024/eu-rat-ch…

But no sign of a rethink: it remains on the agenda for the meeting of home affairs ministers on 10 October. parlament.gv.at/dokument/XXVII…

Our next goal: extend the blocking minority to a majority for a fundamental rewriting of this bill!

Meet a key adviser to Trump’s multi-pronged fight to overturn his loss in November 2020 who's flown under the radar until now. theintercept.com/2024/10/02/ma…
in reply to The Intercept

As another election looms, one that's shaping up to be settled by courts, it’s crucial to examine the legal players who tried to reverse Trump’s defeat in 2020.

One such adviser? Retired North Carolina Supreme Court justice Mark Martin. interc.pt/4dB9o5Y

in reply to The Intercept

Martin has largely escaped scrutiny for his contribution to the Big Lie effort, which culminated in a nine-minute call as Trump and his allies were still looking for ways to pressure former Vice President Mike Pence into handing Trump the election. interc.pt/4dB9o5Y

“By attacking journalists, whether through the bombing of their homes, as in my case, or shutting down newsrooms, as we saw in Ramallah, Israel is sending a chilling message: Telling the truth is dangerous work with a steep price,” writes Mohammed R. Mhawish.

in reply to Moritoki Mochizuki

Climate change is a land use problem:

“Europe solved its perennial hunger problem by importing food and exporting people. About fifty million people left Europe during the great wave of emigration between 1820 and 1930; many European peoples now have more descendants in former colonies than live in the motherlands.” -

Dirt: the erosion of civilization

Consider the massive dislocations of people..
