Who could begrudge such an adorable little monkey. GO FOR THE BANANA LITTLE MONKEY!

CARVEL'S RING. The private parts of a woman. Ham Carvel, a jealous old doctor, in bed with his wife, dreamed that the Devil gave him a ring, which so long as he had it on his finger, would prevent his being made a cuckold: waking he found he had his finger the Lord knows where.

Question: "When will an AI achieve a 98th percentile score or higher in a MENSA admission test?"

Sept. 2020: 2042 (22 years away)
Sept. 2021: 2031 (10 years away)
Sept. 2022: 2028 (6 years away)
Sept. 2023: 2026 (3 years away)

Resolved September 12, 2024

This are median prediction times from Metaculus, is an online forecasting platform, based on 275 predictions.

AI did it by a law test.

MENSA considers a 95% score on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) to correspond to a 98% score on a general IQ test.

OpenAI released o1, which scores 95.6% on the LSAT "raw score", which is above the threshold.

I'd be interested to see when an AI system could pass the 98% threshold on one of MENSA's regular IQ tests, though.

When will an AI achieve a 98th percentile score or higher in a Mensa admission test?

#Qualcomm's #Snapdragon Elite PCs mean nothing to me until they start supporting #Linux, and they probably should given how god awful their launch and current support is on #Windows on #ARM.

After being published on my channel for over two years, YouTube put a strike on my channel for my video showing people how to set up Jellyfin on their NAS, for promoting "dangerous or harmful content".

Video was posted here (youtube.com/watch?v=4VkY1vTpCJ…) and had nothing about bypassing DRM, stealing content, or bypassing subscription services (other than a call to stop using Netflix, Disney+, etc. because they keep jacking up rates while providing less quality).

As a poster of open source content we would frequently get the inevitable " what about Fediverse / peertube" observation upon the release of a batch on conference videos. I found the Toobnix instance run by the good people of the SDF and haven't looked back. I don't post there for the views, I post there to give an alternative path to content I publish. My $0.02, YMMV.

@vkc @altruios @maxd @tebrown Thanks for posting these observations! I have toyed with the idea in the past... still not sure if I want to commit to it until I have a better plan for replacing the lost income from no AdSense on those views.

There are ways—but as with my observations of Odysee in the past few years, it feels like it'll be a very, very tiny island of users that might not be proportionate to the effort :/

Honestly would like a platform like Floatplane, but with easy downloads too
