I see the point, and again it's somewhere on my to-do list, just not at the top.
Other thing that I'm worrying about is the small number and more importantly the age of apps at webxdc.org/apps/ : they don't seem very actively maintained.
-- tools like "checklist" app are used everyday for shopping etc. These apps don't break; there is no server side that could break it. The API is pretty stable and small. webxdc.org/docs/spec/api.html
Webxdc aims to be a development model that allows to "finish" an app. If it works, it will also work in a year or two.
That being said, more web app development is welcome -- we are ourselves certainly not a "web app developer" shop ;)

The first known mention of the Prague astronomical clock.
The oldest part of the Orloj, the mechanical clock and astronomical dial, dates back to 1410, when it was created by clockmaker Mikuláš of Kadaň and Charles University professor of mathematics and astronomy Jan Šindel. Later, presumably around 1490, the calendar dial was added and the clock facade was decorated with gothic sculptures.
