In a pyramid scheme generally people are made to believe that they are gaining wealth through their investment (that they can't or aren't expected to liquidate), with the illusion of wealth created by paying out some amount of the incoming income.
But this scheme just shares ad revenue, which is actual revenue, and doesn't have any promise of unrealized gains.
