Less than a month after Amazon announced employees would need to give up their flexible work arrangements and return to the office full-time, new research has reinforced the value of a flexible work culture. The 2024 Employee Benefits Review, by consultancy firm Mercer, found 89% of Australian organisations still offer the option of working from home, with the average number of mandated office days stable at about three a week, the same as last year.
In this era of limited pay growth, businesses are also increasingly leveraging flexible work arrangements to attract and retain top talent, enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
The research shows some Australian workers are even prepared to take a pay cut for the sake of a more flexible work life. This and other findings conflict with a renewed push by some big businesses to get employees back to the office.

Einen Kuss sie fühlte auf ihrer Wange
Kalter Schauer durchzog ihr Herz
Ein Kuss aus einer längst vergessenen Zeit
von einer Liebe die nie eine war
Den Hauch des Hasses sie erkannte
auf ihrer Wange
Die Wärme verließ ihren Körper
Kälte erfüllte nun den Raum
Sie Angst bekam zu drehen sich
um zu sehen ob er zurück war

A kiss she felt on her cheek
A cold shiver ran through her heart
A kiss from a time long forgotten
Of a love that never was
The touch of hate she recognized
on her cheek
The warmth left her body
Coldness now filled the room
She was afraid to turn
to see if he was back

@glennf In another universe Matt would be a guy running a small project with big influence and making enough to cover his costs.
He did a hell of a lot better than that. And yet that isn’t enough anymore.

*Quotation marks added for clarity.

I'm voting Claudia. I said what I said, nothing to argue about. Let them shadowbox.
Eta: didn't think I'd need the sarcasm tag, in my original comment. But I will add quotation marks.

Can't vote Democrat because support of Israel. That means you also can't support Republicans, because they support the full extent of the genocide even more. And that means you can't support (most) 3rd party candidates, because the Green Party is primarily funded by Republican donors and, quote,
So that leaves us with... A candidate who at least is saying a 2 state solution, and one who told Israel to finish the job. Plus you know, all of the American focused policies, such as education.

With this in mind, and with how the events of 2016's election turned out, you can understand why people are suspicious about 3rd party voting, right?

One just says wrong.
The other actually engages with you on the topic.
Yet you respond only to the one that just says "wrong" complaining that they didn't engage you on the topic.
Self righteous smugness is a hell of a drug, isn't it?

But sure, insult me more. Good discussion.

in reply to averyminya • • •By "How 2016 turned out" you mean the Democrats ran a conservative, establishment Democrat when literally everyone was saying we want change? Then she was beaten by an "outsider" and the Democrats went all 'shocked Pikachu face' and blamed progressives for their choices?
Dems think that we owe them our votes while they refuse to represent us. That is not democracy.
