Israel manifestly does not follow any suggestions, let alone "orders" from the US. Not in 1979, not ever.

From an outside perspective, that's exactly how it looks to me. But if you look at the past (Regan, W.Bush ect.), Israel always stopped the wars when an American President directly told them to stop.

Early 3D games needed to have heavy use of fog to hide geometry pop in due to early systems being lower powered.

But in the modern day it's so crazy that games like Silent Hill 2 still use it. Finally some modders have stepped up and gotten rid of all the fog so we can play this game as it was meant to be played!

A few years after I started taking estrogen, everyone asked me how I was getting younger, like 20 years younger. I was reminded of this fact when I stopped and the opposite happened, my body went another 20 years into the future without me...

Are you at the LibreOffice Conference 2024? So is the Passbolt team!
Kevin Muller, passbolt CEO, also gave a presentation on how Passbolt found its market fit through open source earlier today! Check out some of the 📷

If you see them at the event, feel free to strike up a conversation. They’re always up for a good chat (oh, and grab some cool swag while you're at it). 😎

See you there!

I need to do a custom parser/validator for DWARF for which I'm using gimli crate as basis, which is just low-level reader and writer but not much else (which is great).

I know the basics of the tree structure is laid out, where to find specs, dwarfdump etc. but further, is there any other recommended reading about DWARF that I should look up for?

One topic specific question, in DWARF terminology what is the difference between "subroutine" and "subprogram"?

Man, why did HDR stop working with plasma 6.2. Everything I read said it improves HDR, but all it has done for me is disable it, without any obvious way of re-enabling it

📝 #Git Notes: Lesser-known feature to add info to commits without changing them

🔀 #Symfony uses Git Notes to store #GitHub pull request discussions
🗃️ Stores PR comments in "github-comments" reference using #GitHub API
🔄 Allows offline viewing and preservation of discussion history
🛠️ Implemented via internal CLI tool for merging contributions
💻 Useful for maintaining context when switching platforms or finding old discussions

Git Notes provide a way to attach additional information to commits without altering the commit itself. This feature can be used to store important metadata, such as code review comments, directly with the code. Symfony's implementation demonstrates a practical use case for preserving GitHub discussions alongside the codebase.
