@PedalHoppy many companies in the U.S. are required to ask these questions to show that they are not discriminating. So if they have 100 applications, 10 from white people and 90 from Black people, and they hire only hire the 10 whites people, that’s suspect.

I’ve seen a few studies of people applying for jobs with white names and Black names. Same resumes. And the white names get the call backs more often.
