"A new dental scam is to pull healthy teeth to sell you expensive fake ones"
Well us Brits have always been amazed at how white and pearly American teeth are but dentistry is the US has clearly gone down the same oligopolistic and #enshittification rabbithole that the rest of American medicine has - as already documented by #pluralistic.
"Many dental clinics that offer implants have consolidated into chains owned by private equity firms that have bought out much of implant dentistry. In health care, private equity investment is sometimes criticized for overtreatment and prioritizing short-term profit over patients."
In the UK dentistry is increasingly privatised and our new Health Minister has been well bribed by the (often American) health companies to move even more of our health care to private sector contractors who will obviously take their cut. This will not end well.

Very happy with the result of my latest project, a DIY NAS solution based on Debian and ZFS. It really gave me a lot of focus which I needed and I learned a lot! Few little things left to do now, like adding some heatsinks to the ssd's and replacing the gpu (and some cable management).
Already thinking about my next project, which will probably be a (budget) Linux gaming desktop for daily use, since I kinda gave up the P720 for this :)
Keep tinkering!
I also am thinking about a backup solution. Right now, I really have none except a small subset of my data which I backup to a (dutch) cloud provider. But I really would like some backups of my proxmox vm's and ct's and a more extensive backup of my data. Preferably (semi) local.
I had to sell the old qnap for some budget on this build so I can't use that any more.
Maybe buy a small cheap (second hand?) synology or something and use that? Any thoughts?
I'm fully aware that the WiFi will be slower than normal until the excellent devs bring the ax200 drivers up to par. I'm also aware the running DRM stuff will be an issue but as I don't watch Netflix etc on my laptop it becomes a non issue. So I'm going to think carefully about this before I commit to removing #Linux in favour of a #BSD .
If I do decide to go for it, it'll be this afternoons little project to stress me out.
So you have a few hours in which to tell me about your experiences of switching from Linux to FreeBSD. Or maybe just tell me about some handy tips or even reasons why you'd think I'd regret the move ?
I mean I'm already running a FreeBSD server at home with jails so have some experience.
