Arizona voters could lose their say on retaining judges if Prop 137 passes on Tuesday. β€œWe will lose part of our democracy,” argues the head of an organization launched to stop the measure. boltsmag.org/proposition-137-j…

Astonishingly, this dates from 4,500 years ago ~ a beautifully simple #Sumerian chaplet, with beads of lapis lazuli (blue) & carnelian (red), and leaves of gold, once adorning the forehead of a female royal attendant.

why the doctored image?
Edit: OK, I can see it in a few articles, but the big clean cars on top of the smaller red one on the right just look so improbable.

With its extraordinary vibrance, this green-glazed jar could have come out of the kiln yesterday, but it is well over a thousand years old. It was made in China in the 8th century.

This type of brightly glazed #ceramic was made for only about fifty years, during the reign of emperor Minghuang – who ruled from 712 to 756 – when the #Tang dynasty was at its height. At the time, the capital city Chang'an (modern Xian) was one of the most populous and cosmopolitan in the world.

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

I’m totally with Sam Vimes on this one!

β€œVimes took the view that life was so full of things happening erraticaly in all directions, that the chance of any of them making some kind of relevant sense were remote in the extreme.”

"From purging voter rolls to reducing polling places in predominantly Black neighborhoods, efforts to silence our voices are very real. But as history shows, Black men have never been deterred by obstacles placed in our path," Horace Smalls writes.
