Phew! I just spent 7 hours making 175 phone calls to swing state voters for #KamalaHarris and the Democrats.
Here are a few gems from my conversations:
NEVADA: I talked to a big Joe Rogan fan who was disappointed that Harris didn't show up on the show. He saw her as a mystery candidate, but reassured me that he'd still voted for her by mail 3 days ago, and was now on edge for the results.
MICHIGAN: An older Black woman told me proudly that she'd already sent in her ballot by mail.

What we're experiencing right now is basically the impact of around 1.5 degrees. All of that is basically from very old emissions. We're on the hook for at least a couple more degrees, but its not like we've even slowed or stopped the rate of emissions, so perhaps even more than that.
The impacts of these forcings won't be linear.

NEVADA: There was the Hispanic man in Nevada with a slow, gruff voice. Was he sick? Was he Tom Waits? He slowly managed to get out just a few words: “Yes, Harris, I *did* vote”
MICHIGAN: A younger Black woman was totally straightforward: she was set to vote for Harris on Tuesday, and knew the poll times and locations.
ARIZONA: An older White woman reassured me that she’d already voted for Harris, and hoped for the best.
